Technology helps the teachers prepare students for the real world environment. As our nation becomes increasingly more technology-dependent, it becomes even more necessary that to be successful citizens, students must learn to be tech-savvy (Wainwright, 2016).
Introduction
This website is for teachers to access resources developed for the subjects Digital Technologies and the other is Design and Technologies.
There are two main pages on this website. One is for Design and Technology and the other is Digital Technologies. There are two main content descriptors used for both areas of the curriculum. One is for Design and Technologies- years 3 and 4 - Investigate food and fibre production and food technologies used in modern and traditional societies ACTDEK012, and the other is for Digital Technologies - years 5 and 6 - Design, modify and follow simple algorithms involving sequences of steps, branching, and iteration (repetition) ACTDIP019.
